Mississippi law makes many jail and release records open, yet the records do not sit in one database. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department keeps the jail docket and release history. MDOC runs separate inmate and parolee searches. Community Corrections handles much post-release supervision, while BOP has its own federal locator. This site organizes those release records, official searches, request steps, and agency roles so readers can follow a custody event without treating a missing roster name as proof.
What the Pages Provide
Each section is arranged around a practical Lafayette County record question.
